This other day I was talking to one of my friends on discord. He suddenly asked me a question, 'What does success mean to you?' I stopped for I don't have an answer to it. Despite understanding the importance of these questions, I rarely ask myself 'What dreams do you have?', 'what is your goal?' The reason why I didn't is that I hate to disappoint myself. It is discouraging when you can't achieve the goals you made. As a design student, I do have an aim. I have always wanted to be a graphic designer. I enjoy the moments when the characters or logos I designed get to be used on different products. Getting compliments from users and seeing them use the products makes me delight. And the challenges I face during the process of production also make me feel productive which I love it very much.

However, I know that this kind of traditional design path is not what I want. Science and technology are getting more and more advance day by day. I realize that one day, innovative designs will soon replace traditional design. I should arm myself and prepare for anything that'll happen in the future, instead of being a person with a very limited outlook. I should reconsider my future on what kind of designer I want to be, or am I truly going to be a designer in the future. To do so, I must seek what I am interested in and what I am not through trying new things. I wish I can boost myself to try on different categories in design in the future. For example, mechanics, game design, etc. After all, design is not only about drawing and creating, it's about problem-solving. Which to solve questions, skills, and knowledge from different fields helps a lot. Although this is a long process, I believe that if I am determined enough, this will help me a lot in my career life.
