Title: Opposite
Software: Adobe Illustrator 2020
Haiku poem:
Light Of The Moon
Light of the moon
Moves west, flowers' shadows
Creep eastwards.
(Yosa Buson)
Description
The title of this poster is 'Opposite'. It is inspired by the different directions the moon and shadows move. This haiku also makes me think of a romantic story between two people.
The style of my poster is inspired by one of the 'Parasite' posters I saw on Pinterest. And I like this kind of simple style very much. Besides, I do not have many skills and tools to help me in making complicated shadowing and lines, I decided to design my poster according to this style.
To show 'Opposite', I used the contrast of colors and the difference between geometric and organic shapes.
I wanted to add a quote but after asking for advice from friends and teachers, they all found it too wordy for there are too many text elements. Even though I liked it very much, I have to cross it out for the poster's good.
This is the quote:
'Nothing exists without its opposite, and your existence completed me.'
